Hello! My name is Ethan Barnett. I have designed an automatic food dispenser for my cat, Tom.

In December of last year, my girlfriend Katie saw a post on the internet saying that a litter of kittens needed to be rescued. Needless to say, we ended up with Tom shortly after. Although I choose an automatic cat food dispenser as my project, the idea did not come to me until about 5 weeks into the second semester. Being a full time college student and living off campus, it is easy to get distracted. After having an argument with Katie about forgetting to feed him, I decided it was best for Tom, and our relationship to build an automatic cat food dispenser.

Before I decided to make one, I looked up on the internet to see how expensive they are. Most of the ones I saw were relatively expensive, some going over one hundred dollars. Seeing this helped my decision to build one for much less then buying one.
